Former IPL cricketer released from jail, bailed on rape charges, suspended for 3 months
The former Nepal captain was arrested in October after a minor accused him of raping him at a hotel.

According to the news agency, Lamishane, who has been in custody since October on charges of raping a minor girl, has been released on bail of Tk 20 lakh by the Patan High Court. However, Lamichhan has been banned from leaving the country until the final court order. (PTI)

Lamichane was then the captain of the Nepal cricket team and was playing in the Caribbean Premier League. He was immediately suspended by the Nepal Cricket Board, while he had to return midway from the CPL. (Twitter/Sandeep Lamichhane)
Before being taken into police custody, Lamichane wrote on social media that he would fully cooperate at every stage of the investigation and fight legally to prove himself innocent. After that he was arrested. (Twitter/Sandeep Lamichhane)
