In the Sircilla constituency of Telangana, voting started on Sunday. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, the leader of the BRS, Kondam Karuna Mahender Reddy of the Congress, and Gogula Rani Rudrama of the BJP are the candidates running for the seat. Throughout the day, one of the main groups that will be the focus is the Sircilla community in Telangana. KCR’s son KT Rama Rao is ahead by more than 29,000 votes, according to the ECI website. According to the EC website, Mahender Reddy is faring badly behind with only roughly 50,419 votes, whereas KT Rama Rao has received 79,425 votes thus far. KTR had previously won in 2018 with a total of 125213 votes and an 89009 vote margin.

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress, and the incumbent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, are engaged in a three-way race in the state. While the BJP is working hard to carve out a place for itself in the state’s political landscape, the BRS is attempting to hold onto power for a third straight term.
