The incident in question reportedly took place on Sunday evening at around 7 pm in Doe Bank Park where two people were attacked during a picnic. Reportedly, the Islamic family was left with head and facial injuries. The incident was caught on camera and now the footage is going viral on the internet. Mohammad Arif further said, “The video has been circulating in the Muslim Community and UMO’s Mosque WhatsApp. It is very disturbing for the Muslim Community. Feelings and tensions are running high. As a Community, we will not tolerate racism or Islamophobia. I am pleased that Walsall Police have arrested the individuals and have launched an investigation.” Reportedly, the matter has been discussed with the Peasey Ward Councillors Mike Bird, Adrian Andrew, and Chris Towe. Furthermore, the four men are being held on suspicion of assault and using racial slurs. They are still in custody for questioning.
