According to the report, all government and private schools have made the announcement to close the schools in Tenkasi, Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli, Theni, and Thoothukudi districts. They have announced a day holiday on Thursday because of heavy rainfall, on the basis of the instruction of the District Collectors of the respective districts. This heavy rainfall has created a tense environment among people. The government has to take this step to stop the hustle among people. According to the report, earlier in the day, the IMD mentioned that cyclonic circulations over Tamil Nadu were likely to cause average to medium rainfall with thunder and lightning in Kerala at the time of the next five days. It is also clear that there was a chance of heavy rains in isolated places in the state between November 22-24. If we take a look at the X data, the rainfall quantification in numerous areas of Tamil Nadu are as follows: Dharapur has registered 17 cm,  Parangiprttai saw 13cm, Avinashi and Andipatti both recorded 14cm each, and Watrap experienced 12cm of rainfall.
