Imran Riaz Khan Update
Mian Ali Ashfaq today shared a post through his official social media handles. He also attacked a copy of the FIR that was filed in Sialkot for the abduction of Imran Riaz Khan. He stated the last date of hearing was on 5th July, the case was then fixed for 25th July. It was rescheduled by the High Court due to the unavailability of the bench of Lahore High Court Chief Justice, the same bench has been hearing the case from day one. Since then, it has been requested to fix the case repeatedly for an early date of hearing and the next date is still awaited. The Sialkot Police issued the detention order because Imran Riaz Khan allegedly incited violence. However, the authorities alleged that the Youtuber was released on May 12 but he has not been seen from the day when he was arrested at the Sialkot International Airport by the police. He is running missing because the authorities are claiming that he had been released from his custody but nobody has heard or seen him after he was detained by the Sialkot police.
Therefore, people are awaiting the next date for the hearing of Imran Riaz Khan’s missing case but due to the unavailability of the bench of the Lahore High Court Chief Justice, the next is still awaiting. He was arrested and detained by the police on 11 May 2023. But Sialkot Police claim they released him the next day on May 12. Stay tuned.
