In 2036, India is going to host the Olympic Games and the Prime Minister recently spoke about it in a gathering by stating that, INDIA WILL LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED. Reportedly, the Prime Minister commented the same at the Opening Ceremony of the International Olympic Committee’s 141st session held in Mumbai. Moreover, IOC President Thomas Bach was also in attendance at the event along with. At the event, Modi went on to add that India will also bid to host the Youth Olympic Games in 2029. However, after the IOC session, Bach said that they had noted India’s ‘great interest’ in hosting the Games.

According to reports, there has been talk of India making an official and verified bid to host the Olympics for a while now. Notably, the official procedure has not started yet. However, the next edition of the Olympics will be held in Paris in 2024, which is followed by the Los Angeles Games in 2028. However, the 2032 edition will be hosted by the Australian city of Brisbane. Previously, Bach had told Indian journalists there are serious considerations about the probable situation. In a session held on Tuesday, Bach told a select group of journalists that they have so far noted that there is a great interest and there are many severe considerations here within India and they have to wait now on how this will turn into a project and will be brought forward to us.

He continued and said that India’s betterment and positive performance in multi-starrer events is another aspect to be considered in this regard. We should note that global events are an opportunity for India to welcome the world and the Prime Minister focused that India is primed to host global events which owns to the fast pace economy and well-developed infrastructure.
