According to the reports, Canberra Raiders’ Jack Wighton and South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Latrell Mitchell were detained in the early hours of Sunday morning in Canberra following an altercation that happened between them at a nightclub. Both NRL players have been charged with several offenses for fighting in a public place. A fight broke out between South Sydney’s Mitchell and Canberra raiders’ Jack Wighton when they were out to celebrate Wighton’s 30th birthday prior to returning to the NRL All-Stars camp held in Sydney. They were allegedly wrestling with each other in Canberra. The statement issued by the ACT Police also reads the 30-year-old has been charged with fighting in a public place and failing to comply with an exclusion direction, while the 25-year-old has been charged with fighting in a public place, affray, and resisting a territory public officials.
