Jack Wighton Arrested
According to the reports, Canberra Raiders’ Jack Wighton and South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Latrell Mitchell were detained in the early hours of Sunday morning in Canberra following an altercation that happened between them at a nightclub. Yes, you heard it right, the NRL players were involved in a physical fight at a nightclub on Sunday morning. Both NRL players have been charged with several offenses for fighting in a public place. A fight broke out between South Sydney’s Mitchell and Canberra raiders’ Jack Wighton when they were out to celebrate Wighton’s 30th birthday prior to returning to the NRL All-Stars camp held in Sydney. They were allegedly wrestling with each other in Canberra. The police statement reads, “About 3.45 am today, ACT Policing responded to reports of a disturbance near a nightclub on Bunda Street in the city. The statement issued by the ACT Police also reads the 30-year-old has been charged with fighting in a public place and failing to comply with an exclusion direction, while the 25-year-old has been charged with fighting in a public place, affray, and resisting a territory public officials.
