People who are eligible for Healthier SG can choose between a polyclinic or clinic and they can also get an appointment for their free consultation. People who registered themselves with this strategy include people with chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure and diabetes who have registered with GPs (general practitioners) since May. In 2022, Healthier SG announced that its target was to get doctors to help people take charge of their health. Residents and family doctors come up with a health plan that includes regular check-ups and lifestyle changes.

The registered people with Healthier SG will get a free annual check-up and recommended vaccinations for the flu. In addition, the cost of the medicine will be lowered for the people who signed up with Healthier SG which will encourage them to stick with a family doctor. Health Minister Mr. Ong said, “Enrolment is just the first step. After that, they have to turn up for the first appointment, and after that, they have to follow up. We do hope that within the next one to two years, we can enroll the majority of those who are targeted.”
