Bhoomi Samman Awards 2023: President of India to present
This is to inform you that Odhisha emerged as the Best State in the Country as it was conferred with Bhoomi Samman Award and its 19 districts received awards. The President of India presented the award. Odisha became the best state in the country for its outstanding achievements. The state was conferred with Bhoomi Samman Award for the implementation of DILRMP (the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme). As mentioned, 19 districts of the state were also conferred with the prestigious awards, out of 68 districts in the country awarded with prestigious awards, 19 districts of Odisha attained 100 percent of the objectives of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme. Droupadi Murmu, the president of India conferred Odisha state with the prestigious award of Bhoomi Samman Award in Vigyan Bhawan. The team of Odisha state was led by Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Satyabrata Sahu, Revenue and DM Department, and other officers of the Revenue and DM Department. President of India, Droupadi Murmu gave Bhoomi Samman Awards to 19 districts, Boudh, Bargarh, Angul, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Khordha, Koraput, Kendrapara Keonjhar, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Nuapada, and Sambalpur. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his ministers are credited for this remarkable achievement. The state has been a pioneer state in the digitalization of land records and public services which reduced the physical interface and intermediaries, which has been the aim of the Revenue and DM Department. Now, all 34 services of the Revenue and DM Department can be availed online. The applicants can now track their applications online. Over 13000 cases have been heard and closed, thanks to virtual court. In the digitization of textual records, integration of textual & spatial data, digitization of spatial records, integration of Tahasil and registration offices, computerization of DSR/SR offices, and construction of modern record rooms, 19 districts attained 100 percent.
