An 8-year-old actor from the Hollywood film industry, Dexter Ansell has become a topic of discussion on social media after he landed a major new role in a Hollywood series. The popular actor who played the role of Lucas Taylor in the ITV soap until two years ago, until Noah Ryan Aspinall took over the role, gained a huge fan following on social media as well. Due to his appearance in the ITV series, he earned huge respect and love for his acting skills as he is just 8 years old at this time.

By taking his official Instagram account, Dexter revealed that he had been cast as a young Coriolanus show in the Hunger Games prequel – The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Along with the announcement, he also shared pictures on his Instagram and the pictures show that he can be seen alongside Donald Sutherland’s version of President Snow from the original movies. The post also reads,” ‘Thrilled to announce that I play Young President Snow in the hotly anticipated Hunger Games prequel “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”. In cinemas WORLDWIDE Nov 17th”.  Since the announcement was made on the Internet, many fans are trying to know updates about the series.

Dexter also thanked Mark Jermin by writing,” A huge thank you to my wonderful agent @mark-jermin_mgt for this golden opportunity”. Set 64 years before the first Hunger Games movie, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes follows 18-year-old Snow as he tries to smuggle himself into the Capitol to begin the life he will later lead.

Along with this, the official announcement was also made by Dexter’s father, Jonathan Ansell, who is an X Factor and G4 star. He also shared his excitement on Instagram and wrote,” LOVE – THE HUNGER GAMES? Well… Little Dexter hits the big screen worldwide this November as ‘young Coriolanus Snow’ in the hotly anticipated Hunger Games prequel”.

This little actor has appeared in some of the best-known television series such as The Midwich Cuckoos (2002) and Christmas on Mistletoe Farm (2022). Snow mentors District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird (West Side Story’s Rachel Zegler) for the 10th Hunger Games when she defiantly sings at the reaping ceremony and attracts Panem’s attention.
