The show featured the 55-year-old comedian who is seen talking about her struggles in her career, racism, gender, mental disabilities, and gender identity. Some clips of the show went viral on social media which helps the show to obtain more numbers of viewers. In one such viral clip that was shared by the media outlet, Mo’Nique shared an anecdote from her wedding about the time when she desired to get physical with the lady and informed her husband about it. She is married to Sidney Hicks.
The comedian states that “I stated Daddy, I want to be there with another lady, se*ually and my husband looked at me so lovingly, beautifully, and patiently, and stated, b**ch, me too.” In the year 2006, the comedian tied the wedding knot to Sidney Hicks, after 1st crossing paths with each other in the year 1980 as pupils at Milford Mill High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Both remained pals even after being wedded to other individuals.
Apart from it, while talking to a media outlet in the month of March 2023 interview, she shared that she and her husband became roommates after parting ways from their previous wedding. While living together, both started liking each other and things get romantic. In the year 2005, the couple became parents to twin sons- Jonathan and David Hicks and after the next year, they tied the wedding knot. According to other media outlets, the couple first disclosed their open marriage in the year 2016, while talking about it during an episode of their podcast show titled “Mo’Nique and Sidney’s Open Relationship. During the episode, Hicks states that the fact both had been pals for their entire lives gave their wedding a level of liberty, which meant that nothing, not even getting engaged with other individuals, could disturb their lives.
