Maxo Kream is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. His birth name was Emekwane Ogugua Biosah Jr. Born on March 29, 1990, in Houston, Texas, U.S. He grew up in Southwest Houston. From his father’s side, he can be said to be of descent from Nigeria, his father was a Nigerian immigrant in the U.S. Kream started rapping in high school. He was a part of the group called Kream Clicc. Around 2012 he started to gain popularity after releasing a remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “Rigamortus” on his YouTube.
What pushed him into the limelight were his early mixtapes Retro Card and Quicc Strikes. Those mixtapes have hit over 85,000 on Livemixtapes. And in 2013 he also supported Chief Keef on the Texas leg of his tour. In 2015 his mixtape Maxo187 received the attention of XXL Magazine and Pitchfork among others. He was followed up in 2016 with The Persona Tape. His debut album was released in 2018 and the name of the album was Punken. In 2019 he released his major label debut, Brandon Banks via Big Persona/88Classic/RCA records. And in 2021 he released his second major label album Weight of the World.
In recent days the news is going viral that Maxo Kream has turned himself in to authorities in his ongoing case. The case was regarding his arrest in 2016 for engaging in organized crime under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act. Along with the group members, they all held the charges of money laundering, possession of marijuana, Xanax pills, firearms, cash, and drug distribution. But recently the news ca,e out that he turned himself in to authorities in his case. And also post on Instagram on Monday and revealed to followers that he’s going to return to jail over the matter he likes to call “light shit”. Though he didn’t go into the details about this matter.
