In the midst of a challenging business environment, LTIMindtree has awarded some of its employees zero percent raises for the fiscal year 2024 (FY24). staff at the company who spoke to us said that certain staff had also received raises of 1-2%. This occurs at a time when the IT industry has been battling a number of macroeconomic difficulties. Customers have grown more cautious as a result of factors like inflation, an imminent recession, and incidents like the US banking crisis, which has caused a decrease in discretionary tech purchasing. The corporation postponed to August the cycle of pay increases that usually starts in April. According to our sources, LTIMindtree’s recent adjustments to its internal pay structures were also the cause of the considerable fall in increments. In the annual compensation packages for employees, the variable pay component was changed to fixed pay. One of the employees estimated that the percentage of variable pay in the total compensation was around 8.5%. According to a different employee cited above, there were few projects, which caused individuals to sit on the bench for longer periods of time. Former Mindtree employees claimed that the policies under the new combined business are mostly those of L&T Infotech and are distinct.
