Fight Between KCR’s Party MLA And BJP Leader

Telangana is heading into an election, and the political fervor is palpable. To win over voters, the opposing parties intensified their attacks on one another. In the state where the politicians overreached, some unpleasant situations are also taking place in the politically sensitive environment. In a recent incident, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Srisailam Gaur was taken by the throat by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA KP Vivekananda during an open discussion hosted by a Telugu television station.

The MLA from KCR’s party and the BJP politician got into a brawl when the latter did not answer any of the questions. With five states scheduled to hold elections starting on November 7, the leaders of the major parties have intensified their campaigning. Meanwhile, a brawl between a BRS MLA and his BJP opponent during an open discussion hosted by a Telugu television station resulted in violence in Telangana. Also, a video of the incident has become very popular. Police and others can be seen interfering to keep the two leaders apart in the footage. Union Minister and state BJP president G Kishan Reddy claimed that the BRS MLA from Hyderabad’s K P Vivekanand constituency, which is part of Quthbullapur, had attacked BJP candidate Kuna Srisailam Goud because the latter could not answer the former’s question.

In a formal statement, Reddy added that Goud’s attack by Vivekanand, who held his throat, was a timid move and that the BJP would file a case against the BRS MLA if the BRS MLA was not found guilty. Regarding the same, BRS spokesman Sravan Dasoju claimed that Goud referred to the father of the BRS MLA, even though both were expected to behave appropriately and politely throughout the discussion. While Srisailam Goud was formerly a politician, Vivekanand is currently serving as an MLA. “They both ought to have upheld propriety and decorum,” as well as exercising restraint.
