According to a report, a group of people running a phoney toll plaza on the Bamanbore-Kutch national highway in Gujarat’s Morbi district defrauded several police officers, commuters, and government officials for around 1.5 years. The fictitious toll collection location was situated on private property. For a continuous period of one and a half years, it utilized to charge toll costs at half the usual rate in an attempt to defraud the district’s high-ranking government officials, local police enforcement, and civilians. According to the study, for over a year, private landowners in Morbi have been defrauding all passengers out of hundreds of rupees every day.

In an interview with the district collector in the area, GT Pandya stated that the administration had learned that certain cars were being driven outside the Varghasia toll plaza’s official route to collect the toll fee. He said that following the submission of a thorough complaint in this regard, the police and other officials arrived at the fictitious toll plaza location to begin an investigation. It was found that the offenders had diverted traffic from the intended course by using property owned by the now-closed White House Ceramic Company.

According to reports.
