Reportedly, the Electricity Company of Ghana released the load-shedding timetable for the whole country and it came after the shutdown of the Atuabo gas processing plant that created a power generation shortfall. Talking about the start and end date of the load-shedding timetable, the process would start on Thursday, March 30, 2023, and will end on Friday, April 7, 2023. What are the affected hours of this load-shedding timetable? According to the Electricity Company of Ghana, the load-shedding will be applied between 6 pm and 11 pm. ECG issued a statement to address the extraordinary situation in the country.
Electricity Company of Ghana stated, “due to maintenance works being carried out by the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) at Atuabo, [hence] there is a power generation shortfall. In this regard, please find below a load management schedule from Thursday, 30th March to Friday 7th April 2023, between 6.00 pm and 11.00 pm”. Areas that will be affected by this load-shedding process are Ashanti, Volta, Eastern, Western, Central, Tema, and Greater Accra.
