This year Amruta made headlines in a case involving allegations of extortion, and bribery, against bookie Anil Jaisinghani and his daughter Aniksha. In her complaint, Amruta Fadnavis alleged the father and daughter blackmailed her and tried to extort Rs 10 crore from her. Before a special court, the case is under investigation, in which a chargesheet was filed last month by Mumbai police.
