On October 15, 2021, Coldplay published its most recent album, Music of the Spheres. The album was favorably received and peaked at the top of the charts in the UK, Australia, France, and the Netherlands for albums. The next year, the band embarked on a tour in support of the album, which kicked off on March 18, 2022, with a performance at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose, Costa Rica. The band plans to continue the tour through February 3, 2024, when it will come to a close with a performance at Bangkok, Thailand’s Rajamangala Stadium. The supporting performers for the Singapore performances have not yet been revealed. Rahmania Astrini, Yoasobi, AccuseFive, and Bunga, as well as other performers, have all served as the tour’s opening acts in the past.

Since the first performance, the tour has been setting standards for sustainability and technical innovation, with Coldplay establishing a seven-point sustainability roadmap for the tour. In order to support regional nonprofits in each location where they play concerts, the band is also collaborating with Global Citizen and the Love Button Global Movement. After meeting during the University College of London’s orientation week in September 1996, Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland started working together to become Coldplay. Guy Berryman and Will Champion later joined the two of them. Before agreeing on the moniker Coldplay, the group gave its debut performance as Starfish at The Laurel Tree in Camden, Greater London, UK.
