Ramdular Gaur was found guilty by the court on December 12. Before the verdict was pronounced, Ramdula Gaur’s lawyer requested the court to grant him the minimum sentence. He also said that Gond will provide full support to the rape survivor’s family. Tripathi said that due to the details of the case, the case was registered on November 4, 2014. At the time, Ramdul Gaur wasn’t an MLA and the case was in the process of being tried in the Public Interest Ombudsman’s Court (POCSO). However, after he was elected as an MLA, the case was transferred to the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee’s (MP-MLA) court.
