Shortly after a former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief’s aide, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who was accused of sexual harassment, was elected as the WFI president, Sakshee Malikkh announced his resignation from wrestling. In protest of Sanjay Singh, a former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan’s helper, being elected to the top position, Sakshee Malikkh declared his departure from wrestling. “Would not be competing under the presidency of Brij Bhushan’s loyalist,” declared Sakshee Malikkh.
