The Kwara State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ajayi Okasanmi (SP), confirmed the incident, saying, “Yes, the matter is true, but his arrest was effected by the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) from Alagbon-Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, which makes it completely outside of our purview.” It is thought that bank personnel saw the inaccuracy and contacted the proper authorities, which resulted in Rafiu’s arrest.
