Three people were taken into custody by Delhi Police’s crime division and Rajasthan Police in a coordinated operation. Among them were two primary suspects in the murder case of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the chief of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. According to authorities, on Monday, a lady who was supposedly part of a criminal network was taken into custody for the killing of Karni Sena leader Sukhdev Singh. A local court presented the three men two of whom were shooters arrested for their suspected roles in the case, and they were remanded to police custody for seven days. On Saturday night, Udham Singh Fauji and Rohit Rathore, the gunmen, were taken into custody from sector 22 in Chandigarh.

Pooja Saini was named as the accused woman. Saini and her husband Mahendra Meghwal allegedly gave firearms to Fauji, who lived in the couple’s leased flat in the Jagatpura neighbourhood of Jaipur for about a week before carrying out the murder on December 5, according to Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph. Additional Commissioner of Police Kailash Chandra Bishnoi claims that on November 28, Fauji arrived in Jaipur and met Meghwal, who then took him to the Jagatpura flat. According to the authorities, Fauji kept in touch with criminal Rohit Godara through Meghwal, as reported by news agency PTI.

Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, acknowledged killing Gogamedi in a Facebook post, saying the Karni Sena chief was backing his opponents. The police claimed that Meghwal had obtained more than six firearms and a sizable quantity of cartridges. They said that Fauji had taken two pistols and as many magazines for Rathore, as well as one pistol and two magazines for himself. On December 5, early in the morning, Meghwal left Fauji off on Ajmer Road, where Rathore was waiting for him. After that, the two armed men were transported to Gogamedi’s home in Jaipur’s Shyam Nagar area, where he leads the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
