Police say they have arrested a California high school teacher who was once crowned “teacher of the year” for having sex with a 16-year-old pupil. Following an investigation into claims that she had sex with a minor, Tracy Vanderhulst, a 38-year-old math teacher at Yucaipa High School, was charged with statutory rape on Thursday, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. In San Bernardino’s Central Detention Center, Vanderhulst was lodged. According to the sheriff’s office, her bond was set at $30,000.
