The leading car brands in India also launched their cars recently such as Maruti Invicto, Hyundai Exter, and Kia Seltos Facelift. Talking about the best-selling car brand in India for June 2023 is Maruti Suzuki which continues to dominate the market with sales of 1,33,027 cars landed on roads from the showrooms in June 2023. While the second best-selling car brand in India is Hyundai which sold 50,001 cars last month. Maruti Suzuki shows a YoY growth of nearly 70% and an MoM growth of around 60% while Hyundai registered a growth of YoY growth of 90% and a MoM growth of 62% last month. Maruti Suzuki will launch its most expensive model Invicto MPV which is basically a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross with some minor changes. It will be the first car of Maruti Suzuki to come with an advanced driver assistance system and features like ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, and second-row powered Ottoman seats. The other dominator of the market, Hyundai launched a new model Exter which is an SUV based on the Grand i10 NIOS hatchback. This car comes with features like a digital driver’s display, six airbags as standard, cruise control, and an electric sunroof.
The company that became the third-largest car manufacturer in India is Kia which is the fastest-growing company in India in terms of sales. Kia sold 19,391 units in June this year and recorded a growth of 52% YoY and 47% MoM. Kia will launch the facelift version of Seltos. This car will come with a new 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine option and a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
