Sam Altman takes a swipe at Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot
Elon Musk’s new huge language generative AI model, Grok, was the talk of the town last week when many significant announcements in the field of artificial intelligence were made. Now, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, who also hosted his company’s inaugural developer conference this week, has shot down Musk’s new model. Altman stated in a tweet that “GPTs can save a lot of effort.” He posted a screen grab of the most recent iteration of ChatGPT, which enables users to build GPTs or personalized versions of the chatbot. Altman gave the GPT Builder instructions to “Be a chatbot that answers questions with Cringey boomer humour in an awkward shock-to-get-laughs sort of way,” escalating the already-existing animosity between the two.
“Great, the chatbot is set up!” is GPT Builder’s response to Altman’s question. It’s called Grok. What do you think of the name? Would you rather have anything different? In addition to downplaying Musk’s Grok model, Altman has highlighted ChatGPT’s most recent features. Musk has not yet answered the tweet. Altman’s tweet has received hundreds of comments and more than 25K likes thus far. The CEO of Tesla, on November 4, declared the introduction of Grok, a platform designed to respond to nearly any query.
It is anticipated that X will use the model (previously known as Twitter). Grok will respond with a lighthearted remark. It’s interesting to note that the firm advises against utilising it if customers find humour offensive. Grok has access to world knowledge that is updated in real-time and comes from the X platform. The model’s creator, xAI, states that they are aiming to increase the model’s efficiency shortly. The model is four months old and now in the beta stage. The company claims that Grok was created to aid in human knowledge acquisition.
