Jeff Payne was later fired for his conduct. Meanwhile, he sued the Salt Lake Police Department, saying he was obeying the orders given by the supervisor when he handcuffed the nurse. In the report that Jeff Payne filed over the incident, the man was taken to hospital for burn treatment after the accident which happened when a person was fleeing from police and collided with the patient’s tractor-trailer.
