Get ready to witness a brand new Miss South Africa as of 2023. Here’s everything you must look forward to at this year’s glittering pageant. However, there is plenty to look forward to in this year’s Miss South Africa’s 2023 pageant with the returning host Bonang Matheba who is expected to bring all the sparkle and magic. The one thing which is incredible this time is that, for the first time this year, married women and mothers will be allowed to enter the event. However, as per the sources, Van der Vyer is the only remaining contestant who is married. This year’s finalists were narrowed down through Miss South Africa’s five-part reality series, Crown Chasers which will be aired on SABC 3.

2. Homba Mazaleni (23) – Eastern Cape
3. Natasha Joubert (25) – Gauteng
4. Nande Mabala (26) – Western Cape

Reportedly, in each episode, the top 11 finalists are placed in real-life scenarios which will be included in several challenges based on the pageant’s four pillars, duty, championships, empowerment, and beauty. However, at the end of every episode, a panel having Matheba, Leandie du Randt, and a weekly celebrity guest judge chose a challenge winner and voted off one of the contestants. However, the third episode saw Levern Jose who announced that she would withdraw from the competition following the bullying accusations among schoolmates in the high school. Moreover, it will also be broadcast live from 18:30 on SABC 3 and live-streamed for international audiences on the Miss South Africa App. As we talk about the finalists, the top seven competing for the crown are  Anke Rothmann, 23 from the Northern Cape, Bryoni Govender, 26 from Gauteng, Homba Mazaleni, 23 from Eastern Cape, and Jordan Van der Vyer, 27 from the Western Cape, Melissa Nayimuli, 27 from the Eastern Cape, Nande Mabala, 25 from the Western Cape and Natasha Joubert, 25 from Gauteng. Furthermore, the Tickets to the highly anticipated event are available from the Miss South Africa website, app, and Ticketpro, and prices range from R300 to R1500. Another significant change is marked by the new crown which is dubbed Mowana, the Tree of Life. As for the prizes, the winner this year will receive a package of prizes and sponsorships valued at more than R3 million when she takes the crown.
