Miss Pennsylvania 2023 Miranda Moore

This past weekend, Harrisburg’s Miranda Moore, who had previously won the title of Miss Central Pennsylvania, was chosen Miss Pennsylvania 2023. In January, she will compete in Miss America. Over the weekend, a young woman from Harrisburg was named the new Miss Pennsylvania. After receiving a $12,000 scholarship, Miranda Moore, who had previously won Miss Central Pennsylvania, will now compete in Miss America in January. It is just the most exciting feeling to know that I’ll get to serve the state of Pennsylvania for the next year, Moore gushed. “It is just an incredible feeling; as you said, I’ve been preparing for this for years, and looking back at the change I’ve had into the woman I am today because of this organization, it is just the most exciting feeling to know that I’m going to get to serve the state for the next year,” Moore said.

While serving as Miss Central Pennsylvania, Moore visited numerous community organizations throughout the state to promote her community service project and share her love of music with young people. As Miss Central Pennsylvania, Moore said, “I already felt so content and like I was living a dream, and now that I’m Miss Pennsylvania, I feel like I have that foundation to serve the state, and I feel so prepared and so confident going into my year of service.” Her community service project, “Take Action In Fashion,” aims to inform people about the negative effects the fashion business has on the environment and society.

In order to protect the environment, Moore is committed to forging solid alliances with nonprofits and sustainable businesses. The Bohler Women in STEM Award was also given to the next Miss Pennsylvania. Moore, a female engineer, aspires to encourage young girls to pursue their passions. You are capable of anything. I believe that sometimes when you see someone in this role as Miss Pennsylvania, you assume that they simply naturally had it or that it came easily to them, and I am really not an exception when it comes to this,” Moore said.
