Lee Anderson born on January 6, 1967, is a British Conservative politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Ashfield in Nottinghamshire since 2019. He has been the Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party since February 2023. Prior to his parliamentary career, he was a coal miner and worked for Citizens Advice, before serving as a Labour councillor in Ashfield from 2015. As far as his early life and career is concerned, Anderson was born in Nottinghamshire and attended John Davis Primary School and Ashfield School. His father was a coal miner. Moreover, he also worked as a coal miner for more than 10 years and then volunteered to eventually work for Citizens Advice for another decade. Afterwards, he worked in hostels by supporting homeless care leavers. As for his local political career, he was a longtime member of the Labour Party and was elected as a councillor in the 2015 Ashfield District Council election by representing Huthwaite and Brierley Ward. The news has been making social media headlines, though it is believed that it is not a satire. Furthermore, Lee Anderson has revealed the heartbreaking moment he found out his son was a vegetarian in a GB News segment. The deputy chairman of the Conservative Party said that his son was a meat eater until he went to university and hence he was visibly emotional. But after one semester away at Sheffield University, his son came back with long hair, a beard and a distaste of all things that were non-vegetarian and meaty. Anderson filmed the interview as the stories crackdown on rip-off university degrees, which have yet to be specified.
