According to a recent update, the England Cricket team has been advised to be careful while sliding on an average Dharamshala outfield in their WC match against BAN. Recently, Mujeeb Rahman’s slide and the fall act during the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh match have resulted in a large amount of outrage and hatred. However, the off-spinner was lucky to not have damaged his knee on the Dharmashala surface. Currently, Jos Buttler and co have been advised not to dive at the Dharamshala’s surface as England is taking on Bangladesh on October 11, 2023, at the same place. Reportedly, the senior journalist, Matt Roller attended England’s conference which was held prior to the match and the pictures of the game were also being shared on Twitter images of the state of the Dharamshala surface.

On the face of it, the pitch looks only average. However, the fans got upset and started pointing fingers at the BCCI secretary Jay Shah. In the post, one user made a comment and said that his colony ground has better grass than this and another wrote that it is almost as bad as England’s current form. Moreover, one more commented that it was the worst outfield ever witnessed and many other similar comments were seen. Notably, before the start of the World Cup, each of the WC venues was 50 crores for renovation work. However, as per Dharamshala’s surface, there is seemingly no work being prepared. Reportedly, three more matches are yet to be played on the Dharamshala ground after the ENG vs BAN game the next day. Moreover, ICC itself has introspected and reviewed the Dharamshala surface and has given an average rating.

Currently, a no-dive has been strictly instructed to the England team, skipper Jos Butter won’t take the risk of playing Ben Stokes. However, he missed the first England game due to hip nipple and now he is set to miss the second game also. Now, England is all set to play their first match in Dharamshala against Bangladesh tomorrow. Thank you for being a patient reader. As you know, shares are appreciated.
