Before India’s flight to Delhi for their match against Afghanistan, sources have verified to India Today that Gill’s platelet count decreased, and the player made a trip to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment.
“Shubman Gill’s platelet level fell, so as a precaution, he was admitted to a hospital in Chennai. The medical staff of the BCCI is also keeping an eye on him, sources told India Today. According to the PTI news agency, Shubman Gill was released from the Chennai hospital on Tuesday morning following his treatment. The little batter went back to the team hotel, where the BCCI medical staff would keep an eye on him. Shubman Gill had accompanied the squad to Chennai, South India, but he was unable to watch India’s opening match against Australia. Gill hasn’t visited New Delhi yet. On October 11, India will play Afghanistan in New Delhi, and on Saturday, India and Pakistan will square off in Ahmedabad.
