After the first five dates in their Singapore run sold out during presales following their announcement, Coldplay has added a sixth and final show. The band’s second Asian tour leg, which includes performances in Thailand and the Philippines, will include the Singapore concerts in 2024. The band posted on their official Twitter page to announce the new gig, explaining that it had been added due to the overwhelming response to the prior concert announcements: All available seats for the performance are currently gone. Fans can sign up at Ticketmaster to be notified of any last-minute seat openings, though.
On October 15, 2021, Coldplay published its most recent album, Music of the Spheres. The album was favorably received and peaked at the top of the charts in the UK, Australia, France, and the Netherlands for albums. The next year, the band embarked on a tour in support of the album, which kicked off on March 18, 2022, with a performance at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose, Costa Rica.
