According to CNN, David Zaslav, CEO of parent company Warner Bros Discovery, informed staff members at the start of the daily editorial call that “he met with Chris, and he will be leaving CNN,” adding that “Licht has not commented on his departure and he did not immediately respond to requests for comment.” In an email to coworkers that Reuters was able to receive, Zaslav said that the company would begin a comprehensive search for a new CEO. “This job was never going to be easy, especially during this period of great disruption and transformation, and Chris poured his heart and soul into it,” Zaslav added.
