The singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo has responded to claims that he was responsible for Moira Dela Torre and Jason Hernandez’s split. On May 31, Tabudlo wrote a Facebook post outlining the beginning of his association with Dela Torre. He recalled meeting the couple and their crew for the first time in January 2022 while they were working on the song “Iba.” When Dela Torre joined him on his tour in March 2022, he said, they grew close.

I had developed a friendship with her, her pals, and her group of teammates by this point. I then joined her team and her circle of friends, who would gather at their homes during this period to make music and have sleepovers. Together, we all created songs, had a lot of beautiful times, and most importantly developed such a wonderful bond with the circle, he wrote. Tabudlo also revealed how much he valued his connection with Dela Torre, stating that their group of friends had given him the ability to “believe that [he] was loved” during a trying period in his life.

“That group Moira, in particular, became my family. During those times, I would nearly always open up to them at night because I felt safe and protected from them, he added. The singer continued by saying that when they learned of Dela Torre’s breakup with Hernandez, their group of friends rallied to her side: “We were all then leaning into protecting her and giving her all of the love she needed.” He continued, “We were all just there for her.
