Why Is Katy Perry Leaving American Idol 2023?
If Katy Perry’s resignation from American Idol stunned you, don’t panic since it’s only temporary. The Queen of Camp will perform at King Charles III’s coronation at Windsor Castle on May 7, 2023. On stage with her will be Andrea Bocelli, Freya Ridings, Take That, Sir Bryn Terfel, and her fellow Idol judge Lionel Richie. Katy has expressed her delight about the occasion and her stay in Windsor Castle as an ambassador for King Charles III’s charity, The British Asian Trust. She stated in an interview with the BBC that she is keen to “shine a further light” on the trust’s children’s protection fund, which generates funds to prevent child trafficking.
