The famous South Indian movie actor Suraj Kumar has met with an accident. Suraj Kumar, alias Dhruwan, an actor and cousin of Kannada matinee hero Dr. Rajkumar, was critically hurt in a car accident on Saturday on the Mysuru-Gundlupet highway close to Begur in the Gundlupet district. According to reports, Suraj’s right leg, which was severely injured in the collision, was amputated by surgeons. He is the offspring of the late Parvathamma Rajkumar’s brother, film producer S. A. Srinivas. To work in the film industry, Suraj used the name Dhruwan. Around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, Suraj was riding his motorcycle on the highway when he was struck by a tipper near the Hirikati Gate in the Gundlupet Taluk.

According to the police, Suraj, a resident of Mysuru, was riding his motorcycle toward Ooty when he lost control while passing a tractor and collided with an approaching tipper lorry. As soon as possible, he was sent to the Manipal Hospital in Mysuru, where the right leg was amputated below the knee as a life-saving treatment. Suraj Kumar is a cousin of Kannada matinee hero Dr. Rajkumar and known as Dhruwan in the film business, reportedly sustained serious injuries in a terrible vehicle accident. On the Mysuru-Gundlupet route, close to Begur in the Gundlupet taluk, the accident happened on Saturday. Suraj’s right leg, which was seriously hurt in the collision, reportedly had to be amputated by medical professionals. When Suraj began the film industry, he went by the name Dhruwan. He was the nephew of the late film producer Parvathamma Rajkumar and the son of film producer S. A. Srinivas.
According to reports, Suraj was riding his bike on the highway close to Hirikati Gate in the Gundlupet taluk when the accident happened at about 4 p.m. He lost control while passing a tractor and hit an approaching tipper truck. Suraj, therefore, had severe damage to his right leg. He received prompt medical care and was quickly taken to Manipal Hospital in Mysuru. His right leg had a life-saving below-knee amputation procedure thereby medical professionals. The son of Dr. Rajkumar and a well-known Kannada actor, Shiva Rajkumar, visited Suraj in the hospital with his wife Geetha.
On his social media profiles, Suraj, a fervent motorcyclist, routinely posted images demonstrating his love of motorcycles. Suraj Kumar, who has worked as an assistant director on films like Airavata and Tarak, was slated to make his acting debut in Anup Anthony’s Bhagawan Shri Krishna Paramathma.
