U-19 Women WC: When and where Shefali Verma’s team will face, know the full schedule
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is organizing the Women’s Under-19 World Cup for the first time and this World Cup is being held in South Africa.

The Under-19 Women’s World Cup starts today in South Africa. ICC is going to organize Women’s Under-19 World Cup for the first time. A total of 16 teams will participate in this tournament and a total of 41 matches will be played. Team India will also start the campaign on the first day of the tournament. Shefali Verma, who showed her mettle with the bat with the senior team, has been named the captain of the Indian team. Under Shefali’s leadership, India will be hoping to win their maiden World Cup title.
The 16 teams participating in the World Cup have been divided into four groups of four. India have been placed in Group D along with Scotland, hosts South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. South Africa and India recently played a T20I series in which the hosts did not win a single match while the Indian team won four matches.
Here is the Team India schedule
The Indian team will play their first match against South Africa. The match will be played at Willowmoor Park in Benny. After that, Team India will play their second match on Monday, January 16. This match will be played only in Benoni and in this match Indian team will face UAE team. Team India will play the last match against Scotland in the group stage. This match will also be held only in Benoni.
The quarter-final round will begin after the group stage in the World Cup. The top 3 teams from each group will play in the quarter finals. These teams will be divided into two groups. The top 2 teams from these two groups will advance to the semi-finals. Both semi-finals will be held on January 27. The final match will be held on January 29.
All eyes will be on Shefali and Richa
Apart from Shefali, another star who plays for India’s senior women’s team, Richa Ghosh, has also been selected for this World Cup. Both of them will be responsible for leading the team to its first U-19 World Cup. Shefali is known for his stormy batting. If his bat is gone, the bowlers are doomed.
