In the face of protests, Shatabdi Roy said, “Many complained that they did not get housing scheme, old age allowance. Some did not get government benefits because of the government. I heard about them. Everything will be as it was. All will get benefits of government schemes.

On the other hand, TMC leader Devanshu Bhattacharya met with anger when he went to Kukhutiya village of Balijuri village panchayat. Villagers complain that the drains of the area have not been cleaned for a long time. Many have also expressed anger over the lack of names in the list of beneficiaries of the housing project. Devanshu also tries to calm down the angry villagers by talking to them. BJP’s Birbhum district president Dhruv Saha went from village to village amid the protests and lashed out at Trinamool leaders. He said, “Didi’s messengers are seeing ghosts in the village!
