Villagers in Kaushambi district last night allegedly beat up three thieves who tried to steal tire punctures from Gomti by tying their hands with ropes.

Uttar Pradesh of Kaushambi District Last night, villagers allegedly beat up three thieves who tried to steal a tire puncture from Gomti by tying their hands with a rope. Then the passers-by shouted and called the villagers, all of them surrounded and caught the thieves. On receiving the information, the police came and arrested the thieves and took them to the police station. The incident happened in Ghatampur village under Mohabbatpur Painsa police station. Three thieves broke the lock of Anil Kumar Saroj’s tire puncture maker Gomti here last night and stole old tire tubes and other items kept there.
Due to this, the passers-by caught the attention of some thieves. When the passers-by made a noise, the people woke up and surrounded the three thieves. After catching the thieves, the villagers allegedly tied them with ropes and beat them severely. Someone reported the matter to Mohabbatpur Paisa police station. On receiving the information, the police rescued the three thieves from the hands of the villagers and took them into custody. Then the stolen tire tube kept in the pickup involved in the theft was also recovered.
Thief admitted to hospital for treatment
The police reached the police station with the recovered pickup one and three thieves. While in the police interrogation, the thieves gave their names as Aziz Ahmed Rahim Ahmed and Shahzad Alam. All are residents of Babu Ka East area of Kanpur city. After registering a case against Anil Kumar, the police admitted the thieves to the district hospital for treatment.
The accused have been caught many times before
Aziz Ahmed and Rahim Ahmed, both residents of Babu East area of Kanpur, were caught stealing. These people have been caught in many theft cases before. It is said that before the theft, Rahim used to reek the place, then Aziz and his relative Shah Alam would commit the theft together. Even late on Wednesday night, these men targeted Anil Kumar Saroj’s puncture shop and two other shops on Ghatampur Road, but the passers-by created a ruckus and disrupted the work of this vicious gang of thieves. Police recovered 27 old tire tubes and two knives from them.
Both brothers are residents of Khakhreru village in Fatepur thana area, but they settled in Babu East area of Kanpur city a few years ago. From there he got addicted to drugs by mistake. To satisfy their addiction, these people started doing things like theft. At present, the police are treating him at the district hospital.
