Tenoch Huerta, Namor Actor Controversy Explained

Tenoch Huerta, best known for his role as Namor in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” has denied a new sexual assault claim leveled against him. The Marvel star broke his silence on Monday after being accused of sexually assaulting musician Mara Elena Ros on Saturday, who also accused him of being a “sexual predator.” According to Tenoch, the charge is “false and completely unsubstantiated.” Tenoch says he couldn’t allow Ros’ allegation “go unchallenged any longer” in a message posted on social media… he says they dated for many months approximately a year ago and their relationship was “entirely consensual at all times.”

Tenoch believes he and Ros were in a “loving, warm, and mutually supportive relationship” when they were dating… but when they parted, he alleges she “began to misrepresent our interactions both privately and in front of groups of mutual friends.” According to the actor, he has been working with a legal team to defend his reputation, and he adds… “Although I am far from perfect, I am confident that these allegations are false.” And, while I will always strive to improve, I must challenge inaccurate and insulting assertions.”  Tenoch concludes, “I am deeply grateful to my family and the people who have supported me, and I greatly appreciate everyone who is willing to look at the facts and reflect before rushing to an untrue and unjust conclusion.”

Huerta was born on January 29, 1981, in Ecatepec de Morelos, Mexico. Huerta’s father, a cinema enthusiast, enrolled him in an acting class with Mara Elena Saldaa, and he later studied with Carlos Torres Torrija and Luis Felipe Tovar.
