While all the contestants’ families gave their children a special surprise and talked about their journey, Shankar Mahadevan also talked about his special relationship with his family and his wife Sangeeta.

Shankar Mahadevan said that the legendary singer has also told the intention behind every song he sings till date, who has always been his wife and he credits his journey. Shankar Mahadevan said, I am lucky to have Sangeetha, Shivam and Siddharth as my family. My wife Sangeeta is the subject of all my songs and compositions till date. I have been married to him for 30 years and have known him since I was 17.

Shankar Mahadevan also said that “We have been together for 40 years and have grown up together. I still remember, when we started dating, he was in 8th standard and I was in 11th standard and we got married a few years later. Our journey so far has been amazing and my family is like my team. I am happy that I have a family where I can work and sing with my children and spend time with my wife.
