ODI series against Sri Lanka in pocket. Beating Lanka means India’s preparations for the ODI World Cup are on the right track. But, this is just a small achievement for Indian captain Rohit Sharma. If this continues, the big jackpot can also come in hand.
By Jackpot we mean winning the ODI World Cup to be held in India in October-November. India’s wait to win the ICC trophy has continued since 2013. But, this wait can stop now because of 3 coincidences with India.
Now you say what are the three coincidences. So it’s a coincidence, the connection between the last three ODI World Cups and the teams that won them. The 2019 ODI World Cup was played in England and the hosts were the World Champions England.
Similarly, in 2015, Australia became world champions in ODIs and that World Cup was also played on Kangaroos soil.
Earlier, in 2011, under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian team became the world champion. And, the host country of that World Cup was India.
