PKL Season 10 Auction
More than 500 players will be in the pool of auction this year. After the Asian Games, Mashal Sports will organize the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 Auction on October 9 and 10. However, the auction ceremony was earlier announced to take place on 8 and 9 September. Why it was postponed? Reportedly, the auction was postponed by one month after the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India requested in view of the preparations of the Indian Kabaddi team for the upcoming Asian Games which will start later in September. So that the Indian Kabaddi team prepared for the Asian Games, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India requested Mashal Sports to postpone the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 Auction. Mr. Anupam Goswami is the League Commissioner of the Pro Kabaddi League. Goswami announced, “We are delighted to announce that the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 Player Auction will now be held immediately after the Asian Games. We are certain that there will be very strong fan excitement and interest in a blockbuster Player Auction, where several star performers from the Asian Games will attract competitive bidding from the PKL teams”.
According to the reports, the Indian and foreign players will be divided into four categories, A, B, C, & D, for the PKL season 10 auction. Further, the players will be divided into sub-categories such as Defenders, Raiders, and All-Rounders. The base price for the players also has been explained. Players of the A category will have a base price of Rs 30 lakh, Rs 20 lakh for B category players, Rs 13 lakh for Category C, and so on Rs 9 lakh for Category D. Each team has a purse of Rs 5 crore.
