Some students and their parents fell ill after consuming food poisoning at a function organized by a school in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, which led to their hospitalization. The police reported this information on Sunday. In fact, several cases of food poisoning have been reported from different districts of Kerala in the last two weeks. Two people died in such incidents in Kottayam and Kasaragod districts.

Recently in Kerala’s Kottayam district, a young woman died after consuming non-vegetarian food from a restaurant. At the same time, the chief cook of the restaurant was arrested on Sunday for his involvement in the incident. The police informed this information. An official of Kottayam’s Gandhinagar police station said that during the investigation, it was found that the woman, working as a nurse at Kottayam Medical College, died of food poisoning. The chief cook of the restaurant has been detained after questioning him in this regard. Further action is being taken.
