In 651 districts of the country, Pradhan Mantri will open public medicinal centers, pharmacists will remain vacant

Under the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushudhi Plan, it has been decided to open Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushudhi Centers in 651 districts of the country. Already more than 9000 medicinal centers are functioning across the country.

Pharmacist Recruitment 2023: The Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jana Aushadhi Plan i.e. PMBJP was launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers to provide quality generic medicines at affordable prices to all. Under this scheme Pharmacist Notification has been published for recruitment to the post. Already more than 9000 medicinal centers are functioning across the country. The government has set a target of increasing the number of Jan Ahodhi Centers to 10,000 by March 2024.

PMBJP’s product basket includes 1759 drugs and 280 surgical devices covering all major therapeutic groups. With this objective, the government has decided to open new Jan Odhi centers in 651 districts of various states/UTs. Online applications have been invited for the recruitment of these vacant posts.

How to apply?

The implementing agency of PMBJP, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India has approved the proposal. Candidates must visit the official website of PM Jan Yahodhi Kendra at janaushadhi.gov.in to apply for this vacancy.

This scheme provides an excellent opportunity for self-employment with stable and regular income. Under PMBJP, an incentive of Rs.5.00 lakh is given as financial assistance to Jan Odhi Kendras.

What amount is accepted?

North Eastern states, Himalayan regions, island regions and backward regions have been identified by NITI Aayog as aspirational districts or opened by women entrepreneurs, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes. A one-time additional incentive of Rs.2.00 lakh is provided to these public medicinal centers in the form of reimbursement for IT and infrastructure expenditure.
