The ring road from Sarai Kale Khan to Mulchand is jammed every day for 14 days due to the closure of the flyover. Although the police has given an alternative route for this flyover, long queues of vehicles have started on this route since Saturday.

In Delhi Ashram Flyover Traffic jams have already eased on Delhi’s roads due to the closure, while other roads in NCR were also jam-packed on Saturday. There was a long jam at DND at 8 am. On the other hand, traffic on Kalindi Kunj Road is very difficult. The situation is such that it takes two hours for drivers to cover a distance of one kilometer. People traveling to South Delhi especially from East Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad are facing a lot of problems.

Forced people tried to get out through Barapulla Road, Mathura and CV Raman Marg, but due to increased traffic pressure, traffic jams were created here as well. According to the traffic police, even if there is a weekend, the traffic pressure on the city roads is very high.
Flyover closed for 45 days
According to the police, construction work is going on at Ashram flyover. A link road is being constructed between them. For this, PWD has announced closure for 45 days. Due to this closure, vehicles traveling through this flyover will have to take an alternate route. In such a situation, the drivers may have to face a lot of trouble for the next one and a half months.
Increased suffering of patients
Apart from routine passengers, patients are also facing problems due to closure of Ashram flyover. Especially patients coming to AIIMS and Safdarjung and Apollo Hospitals have to suffer in this jam. Similarly, people going to the airport, Najafgarh and Gurugram from areas like Noida, Ghaziabad, East Delhi are also facing problems.
