The Indian cricket team lost the second match of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. As a result, he took a 2-0 lead in the series. Means the series is named after India. In the second match, however, Team India struggled to win, but in the first match, Team India won brilliantly. A big reason for this win was Virat Kohli’s brilliant century. Team India made a big score based on this century, in front of which Sri Lanka collapsed. But even after this innings former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir spoke a lot about Kohli.
Kohli scored 113 runs in the first match played in Guwahati. However, this batsman could not do much in the second match and was dismissed for four runs. Kohli also scored a century in the last one-day tour of Bangladesh.
Teams are important
During the second match, Gambhir and former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar played expert roles in the mid-show and during this time Gambhir had a lot to say about Kohli’s performance. Recalling the ODI series loss on the tour of Bangladesh, he said, “We should not forget that India had to lose their last ODI series. We have forgotten about this. Of course individual achievement is important. When you get a century or a half century in your record, it feels good but you should not forget what happened in Bangladesh. It’s a great lesson.”
He said, “India’s Purna Shakti party has been defeated in Bangladesh. I think instead of focusing on this (Sri Lanka) series, we should take lessons from the Bangladesh series and move forward. What happened in the past cannot be forgotten.”
This was the second match
India won the second match but had to face a lot of trouble. India bowled first and did not allow Sri Lanka to score big and bowled out the team for just 215 runs. Although the target is easy, Team India is in trouble. The team lost four wickets for just 86 runs. After that KL Rahul kept one edge and won the team. He played an unbeaten innings of 64 runs. This batsman hit six fours in his innings.
