Former U.S. Marine Eddie Ray Routh has never been wed. However, he dated Jennifer Weed, a psychologist, for a number of years. Routh’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer said that their relationship had been on-and-off throughout. They also experienced a lot of highs and lows throughout their relationship. Eddie was consuming marijuana at his house the evening before Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield were killed. He later called Jennifer, his sweetheart, because he had heard and seen odd things. Prior to the incident, Routh and Jennifer were set to get married. He also wept till his ex-girlfriend agreed when he asked her to marry him on his knees.
In the spring of 2012, the former couple first connected on a dating website. Routh was also initially thought of by Jennifer as upbeat and sociable, but that changed. After they had been dating for a few months, Jennifer noticed a significant change in his demeanor. He threatened to slash her with a ninja sword and labeled her a devil who was attempting to disturb his calm. Jennifer, however, remained still until Routh’s attack, during which he murdered Chad Littlefield and American sniper Chris Kyle. She also identified herself as Routh’s defendant in court proceedings. On February 24, 2015, Eddie was regrettably determined to have brutally murdered Kyle and Littlefield.

Mr. Routh is currently spending his entire life in prison at the Ramsey Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Brazoria County, Texas. Jodi Routh, Routh’s mother, claimed that she first met Chris Kyle while working as an assistant at a school in Texas. She added that her son Eddie suffers from PTSD and alcoholism.
