After receiving information about the incident, Rajnagar police reached the spot with the help of local people and sent the injured to Rajnagar Community Health Center for better treatment. After giving first aid to 8 seriously injured passengers, the doctors present at the Community Health Center referred the injured to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur for better treatment.
The incident took place on the Rajnagar-Chaibasa road in Serakela district. Here, near Khairbani village, he was bringing laborers from Chaibasa when the pick-up van suddenly went out of control and overturned, killing seven people, including women workers, on the spot.
The condition of the workers is serious
There were about 20 to 25 people in the pickup van, who were heading towards Jamshedpur from Chaibasa. Among the injured, 8 workers are in critical condition. All were brought to Rajnagar Community Center for treatment. From where Jamshedpur has been referred in view of the seriousness of the situation. A dozen passengers were reportedly injured in the accident. At present Rajnagar police station is engaged in relief and rescue operations, it is said that all were going to take part in the transport of a building in a pickup van.
